Message from the Cha(I)rman in Switzeland…..

Been trying to get a photo of this place for years.  What do you do with your old shipping containers!!! Turn them into an advertising site.

This would make an impressive cameo on a modern layout.  And easy to do too.  Perhaps one advertising ESNG????

And a reminder for ESNG members that the club AGM is at 8pm tonight.  Sorry, I know it’s (usually) boring, but we need to do it…..

And back to Allan in Switzerland.

Bottom photo. Has a clever trick up her funnel. She is the only paddle boat out of the five on lake Luzern that can get under the road/rail bridges at Stans.  She can lower both masts and funnel. Also the wheel house lowers in to the top deck. So she can get under the bridge.  Called Dampfschiff Unterwalden.

The other one is Dampfschiff Uri. Still to see the other 3 Schiller, Gallia & Start Luzern.

Update:  Photos reversed as I had them the wrong way round.  Can you spot which wheel house lowers…..
