Day 4

Please excuse any typos etc the reason for this will become evident.

Started cloudy becoming sunny. Deceided to miss trip to Peace Museum so made my way to Boppard by train via Koblenz. Had a good wander round but at 11am everyone’s phones went off – it was a test of the German national system just as we had in England some. time ago. Made my way back by bus to Koblenz for train back to Remagen for a reception drink and a walking tour/wine tasting. From starting at hotel with stops to taste wine and back to hotel for more wine tasting took around 4 hours! We tasted wines from white through rose to red – a total of 9 wines. All I could face eating afterwards was an ice cream Sunday on the river bank before staggering back to hotel for early night.
