Potpourri #1140

I was recently offered some very old Hornby O gauge trains. I turned them down, but here are some photos. All the stock dates from the 1930’s, I think. I cut my teeth (figuratively) on model railways with the 1950’s, British Railways, version. Interestingly, my favourite trainset was an end-to-end shunting layout along one side of the dining room, that could be left in place for days. I found this much more interesting than a circle of track. Perhaps this early ‘training’ lives on?
