Covid-19 diary #9

Still not much modelling…..

In fact, Michael has run more trains than me.  He invested in a circle of Peco Settrack, and I passed on a Gaugemaster controller I had bought cheap, ‘just in case.’  (Handed over at the door at long range, of course, to maintain 2m separation!)

I reminded him not to run Thomas on the carpet, as he might get a little bit fluffy!

And even my Ruth, just coming out of hibernation in Berlin, has been more productive than yours truly.  Fancy a fashionable face mask (no Elmer, they’re not y-fronts)?

But I did find this photo for her of a 1950 fashion photoshoot.  All very elegant – the ex-LBSCR 0-6-2, that is.

Mind you, I quite like this option!  Check out the video.

Eastbourne man builds railway in his garden

Adrian Backshall has used the lockdown to finish a remarkable project.  The retired British Rail worker has built a 30ft railway in his back garden in Eastbourne, complete with hand-cranked wagon. He is now in negotiations with his wife Ruth, in a bid to extend the line by 45ft to the end of the garden.
