Odd modelling ideas #22
A really interesting structure – First Quincy No. 2 shaft house (Wisconsin.) Inside, iron ore would have been processed. The rooflines follow the flow of ore down through the building. Just like western American mines built on hillsides, they used … Continue reading

Brooklands museum – 1
Last week, Maxine had to visit West Byfleet, so we looked to see what we could visit in the area, to make a day out of it. And the Brooklands Museum was just two miles away, so we paid it … Continue reading
Wycrail exhibition 2019 – 2
The second half of my Wycrail visit….. It’s an unusual UK show with two Norwegian layouts on show. Svanda (HO) is a pleasant change from the GWR branchline, though the track layout is similar to any European branch or secondary line. … Continue reading
Wycrail exhibition 2019 – 1
Last Saturday offered a difficult choice. Watch England in the rugby world cup final, or drive 50 miles in wind and rain to the Wycrail exhibition at High Wycombe. I had a bad feeling about the rugby (correctly) and wanted … Continue reading
